Volcom and Hannah Hooper collaborate for Lady Grouplove collection
Volcom, SoCal-based brand, partnered recently with Hannah Hooper of Grouplove for a new collaboration. The collection, Lady Grouplove for Volcom, is an infused mixture of music and fashion.
The lifestyle brand partnered with the musician Hooper in order to add an eclectic aspect to Volcom. The collaboration showcases easy-to-wear styles ranging from denim jackets to leggings and crop tops. Hooper incorporated her own personal artwork with the designs to create a seamless harmony of music and fashion." What made this collaboration special was that Hannah Hooper shared her favorite pieces from the road and together we drew inspiration for what would become Lady Grouplove for Volcom," said Kristy Michaels, Volcom global design director.
Lady Grouplove collection becomes available June 1 for all Volcom and Tilly's stores
The collection is also similar to outfits and styles that Hooper wore while on stage. Hooper states the line was something very relatable for herself as a fashion consumer. "I really feel like we made something that I can identify with and, most important, a line I can wear,” said Hooper. Overall, Hooper stated the collaboration came together “pretty effortlessly.”
The collection will be available at Volcom stores nationwide on Monday, June 1. The collection will also be available at Tilly’s, and at both store’s corresponding websites: tillys.com and volcom.com. In order to further celebrate the collaboration, Grouplove will be performing at two Southern California Tilly’s locations. On June 27, the band will perform in Long Beach. The group will also perform a show at the Irvine Spectrum the following day.
