The Supreme Group’s order show portfolio increasingly relevant for the industry – Munich attracts fashion business

The latest edition of Supreme Women&Men Munich clearly confirmed the key role that order shows in general and The Supreme Group’s event portfolio in particular continue to play in the industry. Supreme Women&Men Munich, the biggest trade show for ready-to-wear fashion in the Bavarian capital, made the most of this USP and presented the latest trends on all four days of the event at MTC world of fashion.

“We are closing this order season in Germany with another successful edition of Supreme Women&Men Munich,” says Aline Müller-Schade of The Supreme Group’s executive board. “Neither the challenges of the economic cycle nor those of the much-discussed supplier concentration were able to put a damper on the focused and familial atmosphere at the event. Customization and individualization in retail as well as a spirit of innovation were both a hot topic and palpable at Supreme Women&Men Munich and its sister event in Düsseldorf. We are excited to offer the industry a platform for new approaches and active networking,” Ms. Müller-Schade says.

Order platforms increasingly important for exhibitors

Both exhibitors and buyers left Munich’s MTC world of fashion with a sense of accomplishment, numerous new contacts and well-filled order books, as Cansin Deniz, Head Buyer for CP Fashion, confirms. “Customer attendance at Supreme Women&Men Munich was outstanding. We love the familial atmosphere at The Supreme Group’s events, their excellent organization and the extraordinary trust. I believe I speak for most exhibitors when I say that all in all, order platforms are becoming ever more important for us.”

Alis Schlößer and Lavinia-Monica Stanoui, iua accessoires, agree with this assessment. “It was a super successful trade show for us. We worked straight through these past four days. The atmosphere was extremely wonderful and we were able to gain numerous new customers.”

Munich attractive to retailers

With its location in Munich, Supreme Women&Men attracts numerous new retailers who previously did not attend trade events in the Bavarian capital.

“There were quite a lot of retailers who’d never come to Munich before but are noticing that there’s something interesting evolving here,” says Elvis Giglione of Giuseppe Galassi fashion agency.

Lizz Fedder-Kramer of CAFèNOIR shares this view. “Munich continues to be a very attractive location,” she says. “This is why we’ve been coming to Supreme&Women Munich for years and value this profitable platform. The casual sports style is big again this season.”

Exhibitors register heightened demand from day one

Exhibitors noticed a clear increase in interest and demand starting on Saturday, the first day of the event.

“Visitor numbers on Saturday were very high, to the great satisfaction of our exhibitors,” confirms Supreme Women&Men project leader Vanessa Frank. “On Sunday, we were virtually overrun and Monday also brought in crowds. The fact that even on Tuesday, the last day of the show, there were no signs of breaking up the party, is very telling. People worked right through the very last minute. MTC world of fashion has a solid reputation as fashion venue and served as key port of call for buyers across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Northern Italy.”

About The Supreme Group

Established in June 2007 with two order platforms, The Supreme Group now organizes eleven trade shows, presenting international brands and agencies at the venues B1 in Düsseldorf and MTC world of fashion, house 1, in Munich. All shows offer spacious, airy platforms as well as top-end premium booth concepts and display options.

As a family-owned business with a strong interest in our planet’s future The Supreme Group supports sustainability and social projects. Our initiatives include switching to more energy-efficient LED lighting in both our locations (MTC in Munich and B1 in Düsseldorf), creating new, plastic-free badges, and regularly supporting children’s charities.

The company’s portfolio includes the order platforms Supreme Women&Men in Düsseldorf and Munich, Supreme Kids and Supreme Celebration, Supreme Body&Beach, and Supreme Tracht, all in Munich.

Both event locations are also offered for temporary rental, as temporary showrooms for fashion suppliers or for organizers and/or service providers requiring temporary exhibition, congress or event space.
