Big stage for Turkish fashion

As the largest event of its kind in Europe and the global flagship of the Turkish fashion industry, IFCO Istanbul Fashion Connection is preparing for its seventh edition from 5 to 8 February 2025. With an expanded exhibition center, a wide range of products and numerous events, the platform has become a must-attend event for the industry. On 35,000 square meters in 8 halls, over 500 exhibitors and brands will present themselves to the expected more than 30,000 national and international visitors.

‘Our fashion industry plays a strategic role in our economy through its value-adding production, its contribution to employment and its exports. For years, we have consistently been one of the top three export sectors. We are the sixth largest supplier worldwide and the third largest for the European Union. Today, we are a country of brand production with a solid infrastructure and extensive expertise,’ says İHKİB Vice President Mustafa Paşahan. ‘Every year we make significant progress in design and branding. Our brands represent the sector in 3,000 shops in more than 100 countries. Some of our brands are even market leaders in the countries in which they operate. IFCO acts as a driver of the Turkish fashion industry and is an indispensable part of the international fair calendar.’

IFCO #7 at the Istanbul Expo Center will once again bring together trends, innovations and professionals. The organizers are furthermore aiming for record numbers of participants and visitors. All facets of fashion and apparel will be covered at the fair, including womenswear, menswear, kids wear, denim, sportswear, evening dress, lingerie & hosiery, leather garments, shoes, and accessories.

IFCO highlights

Remarkable exhibitor’s presence

IFCO showcases the versatility of Turkish fashion, which has conquered market shares in Europe and the USA. Leading brands will present collections that draw global attention to Türkiye as a center for high-quality apparel fashion. Turkish design at its finest: The CORE Istanbul in hall 7 once again brings 25 designers such as Meltem Özbek, Tuba Ergin or Erkan Demiroğlu to the stage.

Design talents show their latest creations and inspire with their current collection just like leading Turkish retail brands such as İpekyol, Damat, Kığılı. The FashionIst area in halls 5 and 6 will once again be a crowd puller. With fashion shows and events for evening wear, it will showcase the strengths of the Turkish fashion industry. High-quality designs and new trends make this exhibition area particularly attractive for trade visitors.

The Turkish lingerie and hosiery industries, important pillars of the export economy, will be represented with their top products at halls 9 and 10 in LinExpo. Trade visitors can enter new partnerships while international quality standards are demonstrated. Kids fashion presented in hall 8 will take center stage at IFCO with fashion shows. Visitors can discover the latest collections and make valuable contact with leading brands. The event promises a lively and inspiring atmosphere. The EU's eco-design initiative, which promotes sustainable product regulations, will also be recognized at IFCO. Sustainable practices and innovative designs will be highlighted at the trade fair to support change in the industry.

Visitors: Efficient trade fair participation through curated matchmaking With thousands of trade visitors and curated matchmaking IFCO maximizes the efficiency of business contacts and sets new standards for professional networking in the fashion industry. High-caliber international visitor groups are registered for this event. More than 18,000 visitors from over 130 countries were registered for the last IFCO in August. Over 30,000 visitors are expected at the next event.

‘Every season we receive tens of thousands of international visitors. At IFCO February 2024, we set a record by welcoming 38,545 visitors from 159 countries, almost half of whom were international - a significant milestone. Franchise brands network with new partners, export companies make new business contacts. As a result, all our participants leave the trade fair with positive results every season,’ says Paşahan.

Events: shows and expertise

Daily fashion shows by companies will inspire attendees with their latest collections. Complementing these showcases, an extensive program of seminars and workshops

will feature expert insights from organizations such as WGSN, IUAD Naples Fashion Academy, Le Koko Collectif, and more. These sessions will explore the spring/summer fashion trends; the impact of social media, online sales and AI for fashion marketing; the intersection of fashion consulting and current trends etc. The Trend Area, curated by the prestigious fashion academy IMA, serves as a vibrant hub for innovation. This space reflects the latest developments in the fashion industry, offering visitors an engaging environment to explore cutting-edge trends and themes, with this season’s theme AW26-27 MINDSCAPE. ‘The Mindscape’ concept embodies a profound connection between science and spirituality, merging technological innovation with holistic well-being. It reflects how advancements in digitalization can enhance our understanding of the mind and spirit, creating a synergy that fosters personal growth and ecological awareness.
