London Fashion Week February 2023 starts this week

The British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to announce the launch of London Fashion Week February 2023. Running from Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st February 2023, as a digital physical hybrid, the event brings together an incredible line-up of 127 brands, with 104 physical activations and 41 digital activations taking place on schedule.
LFW February 2023 is dedicated to the late Vivienne Westwood and her incredible legacy. Her work not only changed the fashion industry, giving birth to and defining punk, but it also drove positive change globally. The event will also host Ukrainian Fashion Week on Tuesday 21st February.
London Fashion Week is a five-day celebration of creativity and innovation that brings together fashion, culture, and technology. The event is a curation of excellence and empowers growth, by showcasing exceptional designe talent to an international audience.
LONDON FASHION WEEK DESIGNERS
The schedule currently includes 47 catwalk shows, 18 presentations, 2 appointments, 37 events and 41 digital activations which are available on the Official Digital Hub, londonfashionweek.co.uk. The LFW digital platform is freely accessible to everyone, industry professionals and global fashion consumers alike. A further 70 designers will activate through their LFW profiles.
Designer highlights this season include; Daniel Lee’s debut as creative director of iconic British luxury brand Burberry and Moncler Genius’ public-facing show at Olympia which aims to showcase the power of their collaborations, featuring Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams and Rick Owens. Other highlights include; Christopher Kane, ERDEM, JW Anderson, Molly Goddard, ROKSANDA and Simone Rocha.
The BFC NEWGEN designers on schedule include Ahluwalia, ANCUȚA SARCA, ASAI, Chet Lo, Conner Ives, DI PETSA, EFTYCHIA, FEBEN, HARRI, HELEN KIRKUM, LABRUM London, Leo Carlton, Nensi Dojaka, Paolo Carzana, ROBYN LYNCH, ROKER, S.S.DALEY, SAUL NASH, Sinéad O'Dwyer and yuhan wang.
Additional BFC initiative designers to highlight include TOVE, Completedworks, and Richard Quinn.
New names on schedule are Noon By Noor, Sinead Gorey, Talia Byre, TOVE, and PERTED’EGO.
The DiscoveryLAB will continue to be digital, with the aim to support very emerging designers who do not yet meet the main schedule criteria. There are 12 designers activating as part of the digital DiscoveryLAB this season. Confirmed designers include Alec Bizby, DENIS HOWLHITA, DERRICK, LAURA PITHARAS, RUIRUI DENG, siyun huang, Sól Hansdóttir, YYAtomic, AN OCEAN of IDEAS (AOI), Johannes Warnke, ROSEOCEAN and Xu Zhang.
ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Ukrainian Fashion Week: As part of the ‘Support Ukrainian Fashion’ initiative, LFW and Ukrainian Fashion Week will present three Ukrainian designers; FROLOV, KSENIASCHNAIDER and PASKAL at the BFC NEWGEN space. The collections, which were created under the conditions of war, will leave a mark on the fashion industry as evidence of the courage, resilience and resistance of Ukrainian designers.
BFC NEWGEN Show Space: The BFC NEWGEN Show Space will be located at The Old Selfridges Hotel, 400 Oxford Street, thanks to the very generous support of Selfridges who share the BFC’s commitment to supporting emerging designers. TikTok continue to support the initiative as its Official Partner. The BFC will support the designers with a dedicated sales campaign to buyers.
City Wide Celebration: Returning this season is the City Wide Celebration, a full programme of events and activations open to the public over LFW. Running from Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st February 2023 alongside the LFW show schedule, City Wide Celebration unites London in a festival of creativity and innovation. The programme consists of parties, new collection previews, intimate designer Q&As, exclusive fashion week menus, promotions, complimentary gifts and workshops from over 450 brands across London.
NEWGEN 30 Years: The year-long celebration of NEWGEN 30 will kick off at LFW February 2023 and will provide an opportunity for the creative community to come together to celebrate and acknowledge the scheme’s illustrious history and alumni, and London’s legacy in nurturing emerging talent and the next generation of visionary creatives.
The Asahi Shimbun: The BFC will continue to partner with leading Japanese publication The Asahi Shimbun to amplify the LFW digital content and bring the creativity and innovation of British designers to a wider Japanese audience here.
