Joëlle Grunberg named President of North America for Tory Burch

Tory Burch LLC today announced the appointment of Joëlle Grunberg as President of North America, effective November 10. In this role, she will be responsible for the brand’s Retail, E-commerce and Wholesale operations in the region. She joins the brand from McKinsey & Company, and will be based in New York, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Pierre-Yves Roussel. She succeeds Christophe de Pous who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

A seasoned strategist with deep operational expertise, Ms. Grunberg has held multiple C-suite roles in the fashion and luxury sector across Europe and the United States. Prior to McKinsey, where she was a partner in the Retail – Fashion and Luxury Practice for North America, she served in executive leadership roles at Wolverine Worldwide, Lacoste and Galeries Lafayette. A graduate of ESSEC Business School where she earned her MBA, she sits on the French American Chamber of Commerce Fashion and Luxury Advisory Board.

Tory Burch has a significant presence in North America, which is the brand’s largest market and has been the base for its global expansion strategy. Since opening its first store in New York City in 2004, the brand has extended its footprint to include 125 stores across the United States and Canada, representing nearly one-third of the fleet worldwide. It also has a robust digital presence with e-commerce on toryburch.com and distribution in select department stores, including Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus.
