Debenhams appoints new non-executive director

Department store chain Debenhams has named Lisa Myers as new non-executive director.

Myers has an extensive financial background, having spending 19 years at Franklin Templeton, where she was an executive vice‐president and lead portfolio manager of some of Templeton’s flagship global funds, managing or co‐managing more than 10 billion dollars of assets.

Most recently, Myer was co-head of global partnership investing at BTG Pactual, a global asset management strategy firm.

Debenhams chairman Sir Ian Cheshire, said: "We are delighted to welcome Lisa Myers to Debenhams. She has had a long and distinguished career in fund management and her extensive knowledge of international retail will be a great addition to the board."
