Samata Angel, Fashion Entrepreneur and Global Campaign Director of Red Carpet Green

Samata Angel is a British award-winning fashion entrepreneur, author and designer. Her womenswear clothing label Samata's Muse specialises in high fashion pieces. Talent spotted whilst out in New York club Lotus by a member of Jennifer Lopez's design team from the Sweetface brand Samata was encouraged into a career in fashion.

“My interests are: Fashion Design, Fashion Business, Enterprise and Education”.

Education
Bsc Economics, Finance and Management.

Achievements
I set up my own brand and came under the public eye when become the first British female to show during the Nolcha Fashion Week in New York.

Cosmopolitan Magazine's Future Fashion Star of 2008, Specsavers EveryWoman in Retail Inspiration of the Year 2009 and Red Carpet Green Dress 2011 Best Dress Winner.

Becoming Global Campaign Director of the Red Carpet Green Dress Competition which will run at the Oscars 2012.

Being invited to No.10 Downing Street in October 2009 in acknowledgment of my work within the fashion industry and fashion enterprise education and later, became an ambassador for the exclusive Transatlantic Network 2020, a sustainable, multilateral network that engages with future leaders from North America, the UK, and the rest of Europe to collaboratively address global issues.


Currently working on
Samata clothing line for Spring/Summer 2012. A range of dresses for the pioneering and modern woman who remembers the style and glamour of a time gone by.

Also currently running Global Campaign Red Carpet Green Dress for Suzy Cameron (wife of James Cameron) a global initiative getting sustainable fashion on the red carpet for the Oscars 2012.

I am also currently writing a business and lifestyle book for creatives within the fashion industry which address the business, creative and well being needs of fashion entrepreneurs which features contributions from London College of Fashion, Sarah Curran (founder of my-wardrobe.com) and Suzy Cameron.

Goals
To run successful fashion enterprise ventures.
