Due to such extreme demand, the Alexander

Mcqueen: Savage Beauty exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum, New York will now stay open for a further week.

The display, which saw a staggering 150,000 visitors on its opening day, will now close on August 7th.

The show features approximately 100 garments and 70 accessories from Mcqueen’s archive and private collections, and traces his work from post graduate collection(1992) to his suicide(February 2010).

The brand has revealed that since its opening(May 4th) the exhibit has attracted more than 500,000 visitors.
