Aquascutum is hoping to find an interested buyer by the end of this week.

The company fell into administration in April and FRP Advisory was appointed to oversee a possible sale.

To date interested parties have offered 10 bids for the outerwear company. A spokes women for FRP Advisory was quoted in Retail Week: “We have had 10 bids which we are now evaluating. At present we have not reached exclusivity with any party and we will continue our discussions with any interested party.”

Aquascutum was founded in 1851 with a menswear store in Regent's Street. The company was family owned until 1990, when it was purchased by Japanese textile conglomerate company Renown Incorporated. In September 2009 the management team behind Jaeger, Harold Tillman and Belinda Earl, bought the company.
