Arcadia appoints new head of e-commerce

Fashion giant Arcadia Group has announced the

appointment of former American Express e-commerce boss Alex Tait as its group head of e-commerce.

Joining the retailer in May, Tait will head up the fashion retailer’s digital strategy across all of its brands, including Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons and BHS.

He takes over the position from Graham Morrell, who left in October last year to join fashion brand Jack Wills as global head of ecommerce, and will report to Simon Pritchard, global group director of ecommerce.

Tait was previously director of international digital acquisition at American Express and also held the head of digital marketing role at Post Office. He is also currently chair of the Incorporated Society of British Advertiser's Digital, Data & Direct Action Group.
