Cynthia Rowley signs handbag license deal

Cynthia Rowley is launching a collection of women’s contemporary handbags after signing a licensing agreement

with Highline United.

The deal will mark Rowley’s first handbag collection, as well as Highline United, which is known for producing footwear for labels including Ash, French Connection, Elie Tahari, and United Nude.

The collection is slated to launch for spring 2015 and will feature a range of styles including minaudieres, satchels, totes and backpacks, with prices ranging from 175-350 dollars. The line will be sold in Cynthia Rowley stores, as well as select specialty stores, with no confirmation on international distribution.

Commenting on the deal, Highline United president Kenny Horowitz told WWD: “We wanted Cynthia Rowley as our first handbag license because of the exciting prints and innovative materials she uses in her women’s ready-to-wear collection.”
