Dannijo launching footwear line

Dannijo, known for its edgy jewellery designed by sisters Danielle Snyder and Jodie Snyder Morel, is launching a

footwear line after signing a deal with Eric Rutberg of Transparent Footwear Inc.

The 24-piece collection, due out for spring 2015 will be priced at 250 dollars and up, and will feature sandals and booties inspired by the duo’s international travels. Bringing in elements from the jewellery line, the footwear styles will includes jewelled elements including chain detailing, beading and Swarovski crystal.

Commenting on the collection, Danielle Synder said: “We want to dress our woman head to toe, and shoes are a natural next step — literally and figuratively."

Dannijo launched their jewellery line six years ago and added their first handbag collection last September. The addition of footwear feels like a natural progression to move the jewellery line into a luxury fashion business.

Jodie Snyder Morel added: "Quality has always been of utmost importance to us, which is why the jewellery is handmade in New York and the bags in Italy, so partnering with an experienced licenser that could grow a lucrative luxury business was of utmost importance.”
