Dolce & Gabbana launching childrenswear

Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana will launch its debut

childrenswear collection this July. The new line aimed at newborns and children up to the age of 10, and will include daywear, beachwear, accessories and footwear.

The line has been conceived as a ‘further expansion of the Dolce & Gabbana world’ and will be luxurious like the mainline, but Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have stated that it was important that the collection was also practical.

Highlights of the collection include a lilac, sequinned party dress, a mini tuxedo suit, tweed bouclé jackets, as well as Baroque-inspired designs seen on dresses covered with cherubs and floral patterns.

The Italian label is following in the footsteps of other luxury labels including Gucci, Lanvin, Diane von Furstenberg, and Versace, who have all launched childrenswear lines.
