Global online marketplace farfetch.com is launching

an annual award to ‘celebrate, showcase and reward the entrepreneurial spirit of independent fashion boutiques’ with its Superstore award. The winner of the worldwide search for the best boutique will win the chance to join the farfetch.com community on a year’s fee free contract, reaching a global audience.

To help in the hunt for the best new boutique, farfetch.com has enlisted the insider knowledge and recommendations of 12 names from fashion, art, illustration and publishing. This year’s panel includes: fashion designers Hannah Marshall, Katie Eary, Charles Anastase, Elisa Palomino, and Stefano Ughetti; photographer and film editor, Fumi Nagasaka; and fashion director and publisher, Caroline Issa.

Each panellist will nominated a boutique that they feel offers a point of ‘creative difference’ and demonstrates ‘a forward looking retail vision’.  The edited selection of boutiques will be announced in batches starting on December 5, with the public voting on the best boutique.

“When I was approached by farfetch.com I thought not only did the Superstore project sound interesting, but also relevant,” says Womenswear designer, Hannah Marshall. “It's vital for any business to keep pushing forward and the concept of farfetch.com is simple, but genius - products from the best stores around the globe - all in one place.”
