Fashion East, the non-profit initiative that nurtures emerging young designers, has announced

a trio of designers to its womenswear autumn/winter 2013 showcase, which will take place during London Fashion Week.

Designers Ryan Lo and Claire Barrow, who both debuted with Fashion East last season, will be joined by University of Westminster graduate Ashley Williams in next season’s catwalk showcase, which will once again be sponsored by Topshop.

The trio were selected by a panel of leading industry figures including Brix Smith-Start, BFC ambassador for emerging talent Sarah Mower and Fashion East founder and director Lulu Kennedy.

Topshop managing director Mary Homer said: “The coming season marks Topshop’s tenth anniversary of supporting Fashion East, one of the most inspiring platforms for emerging talent.

“We’re incredibly proud to be part of the scheme, and I wish this season’s designers the best of luck.”

First launched in 2000, Fashion East has been credited with kick-started the careers of some of the UK’s creative designers including Richard Nicoll, Roksanda Ilincic, Gareth Pugh, Henry Holland, Louise Gray and Meadham Kirchoff.
