Fashion’s Night Out announces global dates

The international editions of Vogue have announce dates

for the global shopping celebration, Fashion’s Night Out 2012, the world's premiere shopping event, which this year will include all 19 territories that publish Vogue.

Along with the UK, the US, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Australia and Korea will hold their celebrations on September 6; China, India, Germany and Russia on September 7; Taiwan and Japan on September 8; Brazil on September 10 and 12; Portugal, Italy, Turkey, The Netherlands and Mexico on September 13; Italy on September 18; and Greece on September 20 and 25.

Due to the success of the event, which is now in its fourth year, several markets have taken the decision to host Fashion’s Night Out in two or more cities this September. Italy will hold events in Milan, Rome and Florence; in Germany, Berlin and Dusseldorf; in Russia, Moscow and St Petersburg; in Mexico, Mexico City and Guadalajara; in Brazil, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro; and in Greece in both Athens and Thessaloniki.

Created to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence and to boost the industry’s economy, each year this unique event has brought out thousands of shoppers around the world to participate. Last year’s event in London had an incredible turn out of retailers taking part as well as visitors; in particular Bond Street, which saw its visitor numbers increase by 92 per cent on 2010.

Highlights from last year’s London’s Fashion’s Night Out included: celebrity appearances from Gwyneth Paltrow at Coach, and ethical fashionista’s Laura Bailey and Livia Firth hosting activities at Stella McCartney.
