Galliano fired from own label

It has been confirmed John Galliano will no longer be involved with his own brand.

It came as no surprise when Christian Dior bosses terminated John Galliano's contract following his anti-Semitic outburst earlier this year, but now Galliano has also lost the contract of his own label, speculating on the future of the brand.

The board at John Galliano, 91 per cent owned by Christian Dior SA, handed the job over to the label's in-house fashion team but claims it has no plans to sell the brand, WWD reported.

Tensions remain high over the outburst at a Paris bar earlier this year and despite spending a few weeks lying low in a rehabilitation facility in Arizona, was heckled by photographers when he walked through the arrivals hall of Los Angeles airport last week
