In partnership with GFK and Aussie Spirits, the nominees of the first WGSN Global Fashion

Awards 2010 are announced celebrating fashion’s most inspirational businesses.

Hosted at Soho Sanctum Hotel’s roof terrace, the evening began with a couple of speeches before guests witnessed the unveiling of the shortlist. The categories covered all the major business and creative disciplines in fashion, including design, retail (on and off-line), buying, visual merchandising, store design, marketing and ethical practice varying from Outstanding Visual Merchandising to New Store and from Most Influential Design Team to Most Creative Student Collection.

For the Global Fashion Awards, WGSN will be awarding honouree status to honour fashion’s most inspirational, innovative individuals and businesses from around the globe the Americas, APAC, EMEA. The Award ceremony will take place at the Waldorf Astoria in New York on the10th November.

The nominees were selected by an expert panel of judges, made up of influential people in the fashion industry including designers, merchants and marketing executives such as
Harold Tillman CBE, Chairman - British Fashion Council, Sally Scott - Marketing Director of Selfridges, and Martin Mason - CEO of Lulu Guinness.
