Singer Gwen Stefani is teaming up with denim designer Michael

Glasser to launch a new label DWP, or Design With Purpose.

Stefani, who has stepped away from designing for her own clothing brand L.A.M.B. in recent years, is partnering with Glasser, the denim expert behind 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity and Rich and Skinny, to create an affordable line that would evoke her effortless style in a range of lightweight basics that will be unveiled in spring.

"What’s so great about DWP for me is it's different from anything I’ve ever done, working in L.A. and having the factory right here," Stefani told WWD. "With L.A.M.B., we have so many categories within the collection and you have different factories that do specific things, so you are a little detached. The actual designs are very simple because it’s all about everyday wear. So that’s different and new."

The debut 18-piece collection includes high and low tanks, motorcycle vests, cuffed-sleeve blouses, jumpsuits, dresses and eco-friendly Tencel fabric made cropped trousers. Wholesale prices will range from 80 to 130 dollars.
