London-based, Turkish-born fashion designer Hakaan Yildirim has been forced to cancel

his spring/summer 2013 show due to take place during Paris Fashion Week after his entire collection was lost by a courier company.

The show was set to take place today at 1.30pm on the penultimate day of the Paris schedule but a representative from Karla Otto, the fashion PR company that represents the brand, confirmed the news that the pieces were lost in transit from London to Paris. Adding that the fashion house was currently in the process of re-making the show pieces to be shown to fashion press at a later date.

Hakaan has been on the Paris schedule since scooping the prestigious ANDAM Award in 2010, and last season saw the likes of Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss walk the catwalk.

This isn’t the first time that a courier has lost a collection, last November samples from Marc Jacob’s spring/summer 2012 collection were stolen in transit from Paris to London.
