Monthly magazine Harper’s Bazaar announced the

winners of its Women of the Year Awards for 2011 on Monday evening. The award ceremony took place at London’s Claridge's Hotel in Mayfair, and celebrated women who have inspired and influenced across the arts, fashion, design and music fields.

The big winners of the night were Alexander McQueen’s Creative Director, Sarah Burton who won Designer of the Year; Tom Ford who was awarded the special Man in a Woman’s World accolade; and the magazine’s December cover stars Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Eva Herzigova scooped the Fashion Icons of the Year prize.

Among the other winners were: Tamara Mellon – Businesswoman of the Year; Arianna Huffington, cofounder of The Huffington Post - International Woman of Influence; Tracy Emin - Visionary of the Year; and Judi Dench - Lifetime Achievement Award.
