Jones Apparel name change

Founded in 1970, the Jones Apparel Group changed its name to The Jones Group Inc. Coinciding with

its fortieth anniversary, we’re told the name change reflects the company’s evolution and vision for growth.

The Jones Group designs and markets various lifestyle brands, including Nine West, Jones New York and Anne Klein - as well as recent portfolio additions such as Rachel Roy, Robert Rodriguez and Stuart Weitzman. The name change reflects this evolution.

The name change will not affect the existing corporate structure of the Company nor will it have any impact on the status of any of its brands or licensing agreements. The Company's common shares will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under its ticker symbol 'JNY'.
