Jones Group sets its sights on international growth

American retailer the Jones Group has appointed Scott Bowman

as Group President of Global Retail and International Development, an appointment aimed at expanding the international growth of the firm.

In the newly created role, Bowman will oversee a recently established international division, as well as the existing retail and licensing divisions to integrate strategy, meet growing global demand for the Company's portfolio of brands and position Jones for continued international growth. His appointment will also support the Company's recent international expansion driven by the acquisitions of luxury footwear brands Kurt Geiger, Stuart Weitzman and Brian Atwood.

Bowman brings with him more than 30 years experience in retail and brand management to the Jones Group including his position as Chief Executive Officer of Scott Bowman Associates. Prior to that he worked for Polo Ralph Lauren as President of International Business Development and was Chief Executive Officer of Marc Jacobs International. In his new role, he will report to Richard Dickson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Branded Businesses at The Jones Group.

Bowman is the latest addition to The Jones Group, last week the company appointed George Sharp to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Design, and earlier this year the apparel firm established the Fashion Office with the appointments of Wendy Hirschberg Clurman as Vice President & Fashion Director of Jones New York, Danielle de Marne as Vice President & Fashion Director of Designer & Contemporary Brands and Amanda Ross as Consulting Fashion Director of Anne Klein.
