Thierry Andretta has stepped down as the managing director of Lanvin, a position

he has held since 2009, due to “personal reasons”, a statement from the brand confirmed.

However, according to numerous reports, Andretta who has helped spearhead the luxury label’s global retail expansion and launch its kidswear line, resigned after differences with the brand’s controlling shareholder, Shaw-Lan Wang, over the French brand’s growth strategy.

The operational management of the firm will now be led by the label's chief operating officer, Michèle Huiban.

Andretta’s departure marks the second time the luxury label has lost its managing director over strategic differences, his predecessor, Paul Deneve cited the same reason back in 2008.

Prior to his position at Lanvin, Andretta held senior management roles at Gucci, Céline, Moschino, and Emanuel Ungaro, and currently he is also the president of France’s Chambre Syndicale for menswear.
