Denim giant Levi's has tested a new garment production method that

uses 100 percent recycled water.

In a bid to reduce impacts on the environment, the process has been tested at one of Levi's Chinese manufacturers which sees 100 percent recycled water piped into an industrial laundry machine that is used for finishing in one of its jeans ranges.

According to The Guardian, Levi's has already produced 10,000 pairs using the new technology.

The company previously stated it recognizes carbon dioxide emissions are a key contributor to climate change throughout its supply chain.

On its website consumers can trace the full cycle of eleven of Levi's products from fabric sourcing to production to consumer usage.
