Lululemon files counterfeit lawsuit

Activewear brand Lululemon Athletica Inc has filed a counterfeit lawsuit in a US federal court.

The suit includes a sealed list of defendants which Lululemon claims are selling fake versions of its merchandise online through various websites created by the counterfeiters.

The company is also alleging that the fake online stores produce the merchandise and then accept payment via PayPal, credit card or Western Union. They are then shipped in small quantities in order to avoid attracting attention from customs officials, it says.

Lululemon currently operates six stores in the UK, five of which are in London.
