Luxury group LVMH has announced that it is

to reprise and expend its successful Journées Particulières programme this summer, which allows the public to visit the conglomerate’s workshops that produce its leather goods, couture pieces, and high-end jewellery.

The initiative, helmed by Antoine Arnault, LVMH director and Berluti CEO, made its debut in October 2011 featuring 24 sites and attracted more than 100,000 visitors. For the second instalment the LVMH Group is opening its doors to more than 45 sites and over 30 companies will be taking part including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Guerlain.

Taking place from June 15 to 16, the event will be concentrated in France with Christian Dior’s couture salons in Paris and Louis Vuitton’s leather goods factory in Asnières taking part; however the initiative will feature LVMH properties in Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Poland and the UK.

Designed to celebrate the unique craftsmanship and heritage of the LVMH brands, it is also hoped that the programme will help “underline the important economic and social contributions” made by the conglomerate.

A dedicated website lesjourneesparticulieres.com is to go live on April 16, which will detail the event’s various attractions as well as how to secure tickets.
