Italian handbag brand Mandarina Duck has appointed Valentina

Milloch to the newly created role of chief designer and communication officer, as part of the label’s relaunch.

Until now, the accessories label has been designed by a team of in-house designers, but as part of the brand’s relaunch it has been announced that Milloch will supervise the brand’s style as creative director.

A graduate of the European Institute of Design, Milloch has previously worked for Vogue as well as various brands including Iceberg, Sissi Rossi, Redwall and Diesel, where she held the position of head of design for its handbag and accessories collections for men and women.

In her new role, she will be responsible for the style and design of the collections but also the overall image of Mandarina Duck.

A statement from the brand said: “Her mission will be to bring new ideas and new energy into the handbag and accessories collections of Mandarina Duck in order to transform the brand into a new, modern style icon, based on its DNA — namely its colour, design, irony and innovative materials.”
