Luxury retailer Matches has appointed Ulric Jerome as chief

operating officer, to help push forward the growth of the company.

Starting with immediate effect, Jerome has also joined the company board of directors. Prior to Matches he was a founding partner and executive director of online retailer,, which he helped grow from a start-up company to a business with revenues of over 800 million dollars.

Matches joint chief executive Tom Chapman said: “Ruth and I are delighted that Ulric has joined Matches to partner with us during this key stage of growth for the business.

“He has an exceptional wealth of experience in driving growth across omni-channel businesses and shares our strategic vision as we continue to develop Matches as a unique luxury fashion destination that services the global market.”

Jerome added: “I look forward to working with the company’s dedicated staff to position Matches on a global scale with a structure that will enable us to deliver the ultimate user experience for our customers while valuing our luxury partner brands across our distribution channels.”

In addition to his new role with Matches, Jerome also serves on the board of Paddy Power Plc as a non-executive director.
