Online luxury fashion retailer my-wardrobe.com has

announced the appointment of former Debenhams online marketing manager Joanna Stephenson as its Trading Director.

In the newly created position, Stephenson has been tasked with helping the online retailer “move to the next level” and “elevating the brand to new commercial heights”.

In addition, the online retailer has also appointed former FT deputy fashion and beauty editor Nicola Copping as Editor-in-Chief. Copping joins my-wardobe.com from Harrods.com where she was responsible for developing and launching the content strategy and online magazine, The Review. In her newly created role of Editor-in-Chief she will be overseeing the “editorial and creative direction” for the brand.

The aim of the editorial appointment is to drive the development of the ecommerce site’s cross-platform editorial content including the magazine-style editorial, seasonal Style Guides and photography-led features.

Commenting on the senior appointments, David Worby, CEO of my-wardrobe.com, said: “This is another milestone in the my-wardrobe.com evolution. Editor-in-Chief and Trading Director are key roles that will propel our levels of creativity and performance to new levels, ensuring that the business is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the growth of fashion online.

“Both Joanna and Nicola have a proven track record of delivering high quality results in web-focused, retail and publishing businesses and I am tremendously excited at the prospect of them joining  my-wardrobe.com.”

Both Stephenson and Copping will report to David Worby who joined my-wardrobe.com as CEO in July, from his previous role at Harrods.com.
