Oscar de la Renta scent

This October will see the launch of Oscar de la Renta’s new perfume Live in Love. The flower fragrance

is made of flowers from the garden of the fashion designer.

The introduction follows after doctors found cancer with De la Renta. With the perfume the designer wants to make a positive statement. Live in Love is designed for everyone; hence he didn’t choose a celebrity to face the campaign. Live in Love is inspired on the 50s and 60s, but meeting today’s modern zeitgeist.

Born in Santo Domingo, De la Renta left to age of 18 years old to study at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. He did an apprenticeship with Cristóbal Balenciaga, and became later a couture assistant at Lanvin in Paris. De la Renta launched his own label in 1956.
