Pitti Immagine names guest designers

Pitti Immagine has announced that Croatian-born,

Paris-based designer Damir Doma has been confirmed as the womenswear guest designer at Pitti W, while Japanese brand Kolor designed by Junichi Abe will appear at menswear trade show Pitti Uomo.

“Kolor and Damir Doma represent two very different histories and cultures," said Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine’s communication and event director. “But in our opinion, they share the same determination for developing their brands and building a strong business experience based on a very precise, personal and creative inspiration that does not follow mainstream fashion trends.”

Kolor will showcase its spring/summer 2014 collection, while Damir Doma will feature its resort collection. The exact dates and times have yet to be released but they are scheduled for June 19 and 20.

Previous guest designers have included Kenzo, Maison Kitsuné, Jil Sander, and Band of Outsiders.

Pitti Uomo and Pitti W take place in Florence from June 18 to 21.
