Pringle has announced it is parting ways with its

creative director Alistair Carr.

Carr, a well-respected designer amongst his contemporaries, lasted just over two seasons at the Scottish fashion house. Carr joined in the spring of 2011, having previously worked for brands such as Balenciaga, Chloe and Marni.

"I want to thank Alistair for all his great efforts and contributions at Pringle," the brand's CEO Jean Fang told WWD. "We will miss him, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

The company stated the brand's future collection would be designed by its existing in-house team.

Carr's last collection will be the house's menswear SS13 collection, which will be shown in June.
