Safilo appoints new CEO

Premium eyewear manufacturer and distributor Safilo has named Luisa Delgado as the new

CEO of Safilo Group and Safilo Spa, replacing Roberto Vedovotto who will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Previously a non-executive director of Safilo Group, Delgado was also a member of the global executive board and chief human resources officer of SAP AG. Prior to that, she spent over 21 years at P&G, in roles based in Portugal, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden.

Safilo produces sunglasses, optical frames and sportswear eyewear and has an international presence through 30 owned subsidiaries in primary markets in America, Europe and Asia and exclusive distributors. The group produces and distributes house brands including Safilo, Carrera and Polaroid, as well as for licensed brands Alexander McQueen, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, and Saint Laurent.
