Safilo renews Liz Claiborne license

Premium eyewear manufacturer Safilo has confirmed it is renewing its licensing agreement

with JCPenney for the design, production and distribution of the Liz Claiborne and Claiborne optical frames and sunglass collections in America until December 31, 2017.

The multi-year agreement, which includes an additional five-year renewal option, strengthens the eyewear manufacturer’s relationship with the Liz Claiborne brand that was created in 2003.

The eyewear company has an international presence through 30 owned subsidiaries in primary markets in America, Europe and Asia. In addition to manufacturing and selling its own house brands, Safilo, Carrera, Polaroid, Smith Optics, Oxydo, the company also holds licenses with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Céline, Dior, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger and Yves Saint Laurent.
