Sarah Curran, founder of online fashion retailer

My-wardrobe.com, has confirmed that she is to leave the business, seven-and-a-half years after setting it up to pursue other “retail projects”.

Commenting on her departure, Curran said: "After seven-and-a-half years of launching and building My-wardrobe.com, I have taken the decision to leave the business as both founder and board member.

“I'm extremely proud of where we have brought my-wardrobe.com - as one of the most respected online retailers - and I wish the team every success for the future."

Curran stepped down as Chief Executive of the company two years ago but remained as the public face of the brand. But Curran will still continue to hold a stake in the business.

Chief Executive David Worby, who succeeded Curran in April 2012, said: “The company continues to enjoy tremendous support from both consumers and brands and I look forward to continuing our plans to connect with a global audience.”
