Sonia Rykiel appoints U.S. managing director

French fashion label Sonia Rykiel has appointed Nathan Levy

as managing director in America.

The newly created role, which is part of the brand’s development strategy in the U.S., will see Levy overseeing the commercial management and the implementation of the company’s retail and wholesale activities in the region.

Levy joins the label from New York designer Erin Fetherston where he held the same title.

"The creation of a managing director role is an important step in the development and expansion of the brand in the North American market,” said the brand.

Sonia Rykiel is part of the Fung Brands group, which also includes French shoe brand, Robert Clergerie and Delvaux, a Belgian leather goods brand. After the group acquired 80 percent, the label appointed Eric Langon as Chief Executive Officer and named Geraldo Da Conceicao as artistic director.
