Luxury footwear label Stuart Weitzman is partnering with Gilt to
launch a digital pop-up shop to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its signature over-the-knee 5050 boot. For the first time, online flash sale site Gilt has created a dedicated microsite for the pop-up, 5050bootcamp.com, which will offer a 20-piece anniversary collection including 10 limited edition styles for 20 days. The 20 different styles of the 5050 boots will range from the classic black nappa, patent and suede designs, as well as exotic skins such as zebra hair calf, goosebump nappa and studded nubuc. In addition, there will be a Swarovski pave version, custom-crafted with 25,000 crystals hand-set in an elaborate leopard pattern.
Unlike Gilt’s other offerings, which offer designer items at discounted prices, all the Stuart Weitzman merchandise will retail at full-price, ranging mostly from 598 – 890 dollars, with the Swarovski pave boots costing 10,000 dollars.
