The fashion world's most revered critic and commentator, British born Suzy Menkes, is leaving her

post at the International Herald Tribune after 25 years. The journalist, who is a tireless supporter of budding fashion brands, has been at the forefront of the industry in its most important era of runway shows, and her reviews and critiques are respected the world over.

After the Herald Tribune was taken over by the New York Times last year, there was a general discord and Ms Menkes this week confirmed her appointment at Condé Nast International, as Vogue's International Editor.

Her new role will also see her take a lead in organising an annual luxury goods industry conference, supported by Condé Nast International.
