The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) will be targeting the Indian fashion retail

market in a discussion seminar scheduled to take place on Wednesday 27th October at its new home in London’s Bloomsbury.

The Indian retail market, with its GDP predicted to quadruple by 2020, presents huge opportunities for UK fashion brands and designers. India's market has always attracted retail investments and is seen as a leading international platform for retail development.

The UKFT will be joined by a panel of experts on the day. Jamie Tunnicliffe of John Smedley, Asian specialist Peter Baker, ex-Lee Cooper and AS Watson and Puma Sportswear, and Michael Pike, director of international marketing agency Brandspoke, will help lead the discussion points. The seminar will explore the reality of the retail scene in India today and how it is evolving. It will also look at the flexibility of business working and local partnerships and further explore ways to make a financial success with a good brand.
