VF Corp appoints leader for its jeanswear innovation center

American clothing giant VF Corporation has appointed Sudhakar Puvvada as its

first vice president for its global jeans innovation center.

In this new created position, Puvvada will oversee all ongoings at VF Corp's recently established jeanswear innovation center, where the company will focus on denim advancements for its jeanswear brands, including Wrangler, Lee and 7 For All Mankind.

“Sudhakar will work closely with leaders throughout our global jeanswear business to combine existing VF knowledge with the expertise and insights from our external partners to build commercialization opportunities for our brands,” commented Scott Baxter, vice president, VF Corporation and group president, jeanswear, imagewear and South America.

“His background in both technology and consumer goods will help to empower our innovation agenda and lead to sustainable, breakthrough innovations for consumers globally.” Puvvada joins the VF Corp team from Ashland, where he was its former vice president for technology platforms.
