British fashion designer Victoria Beckham has granted

online videoconferencing service Skype unlimited access to her studio to chronicle her career in the fashion industry.

The fashion documentary, which will launch on Skype.com later this year, will take a look back at her five years as a designer, tell the story of what inspires her as well as showcase the designer in meetings, fittings and working on her collections from her studio.

"In just five short years, Victoria Beckham and her team have built a hugely successful international fashion brand," the Microsoft-owned company wrote on its blog. "A journey which Skype is proud to have played a part in enabling."

As back in 2010, the designer told Vogue: “Most evenings, I’m curled up in front of Skype, in my dressing gown, speaking with my studio in London,” when discussing her work-life balance when she was based in Los Angeles.

The film will also involve viewer interaction, with the blog adding that the audience will be able to “engage directly with Victoria and her team via Skype”.

This collaboration is Skype’s first foray into fashion.
