Zac Posen to launch eyewear

American designer Zac Posen is teaming up with global optical and sunglasses specialist Kenmark

to launch a new collection of luxury eyewear.

The collection, scheduled to launch for autumn 2014, will feature both sunglasses and prescription frames for women and men, and will reflect the “modern American glamour sensibility and creativity” of the Zac Posen brand.

The deal, which covers the design, production and worldwide distribution of both men’s and women’s sun and prescriptive eyewear, marks the first eyewear line for Posen’s House of Z company, which produces a range of items under the Zac Posen, ZAC Zac Posen, Z Spoke and Truly Zac Posen labels.

Commenting on the deal, Posen said: “I am delighted to partner with Kenmark to extend the Zac Posen brand to include eyewear. Their commitment to the highest standards of design will align with the creative aesthetic and inherent values of my brand.”
