Contemporary direct-selling fashion brand Ellie Kai has named Tim Brown their new chief executive officer. This makes Brown the first person to hold this post since the company was founded by president Liz Hostetter in 2012. Brown, who will report to the brand's board of directors, will be responsible for the development and implementation of all of the company's business strategies.

Prior to joining Ellie Kai, Brown helped U.K. chef Jamie Oliver found Jamie Oliver at Home. In addition to his experiences at Jamie Oliver at Home, Brown has also worked at Princess House, Swarovski, Coach, and Clinique.

Ellie Kai, which is based in Osterville, Mass., is available through a network of consultants throughout the United States. The line is sold through homes where women can try on clothes, and get advice from their EK style consultants. Ellie Kai is also available through the company's website, and at two seasonal showrooms in Nantucket and Osterville, Mass. Clients can select the styles and fabrics they prefer, and made-to-order garments can be cut and sewn to a clients specifications and delivered to her home within a few weeks.
