Badger Sportswear acquires Allison Athletic

Manufacturer for athletic apparel Badger Sportswear just announced a new acquisition. The company will be taking on company Alleson Athletic, a manufacturer of in-stock uniforms and custom sublimated garments.

The acquisition works complementary for both organization creating a trade brand sportswear partner for Badger Sportswear. Alleson is known for its market in providing team uniforms while Badger specializes in fan wear, spirit wear and workout apparel.

"Both Badger Sportswear and Alleson Athletic are known for affordable, high-quality sports apparel that have enabled athletes to perform at their best and fans to show their team spirit," said John Anton, CEO of Badger Sportswear. "By bringing the two businesses together, Badger and Alleson are positioned to better service our customers' athletic apparel needs nationwide."

Details of the acquisition including pricing were not disclosed. Anton will lead the combined company with Todd Levine, president of Alleson and his team. Levine and his team will report to Anton and will continue to manage Alleson. The transaction is expected to close by the end of this month.
