China Dongxiang H1 Profit Soars

Chinese sportswear maker China Dongxiang Group Co. Ltd. (CDGXF) reported that profit attributable to equity holders of the company soared to RMB290 million from RMB96 million in the prior-year period. Earnings per basic share were RMB5.26 cents, up from last year's RMB1.75 cents.

Revenue for the first half grew 28.4 percent to RMB597 million from

RMB465 million in the same period last year.

To reward the shareholders for their trust and support, the Board of Directors have proposed to distribute 30 percent and 40 percent of the net profit attributable to equity holders for the six months ended June 30, 2015 as general dividend and special dividend respectively, which equals RMB1.57 cents and RMB2.10 cents, respectively.

The company is primarily engaged in the design, development, marketing and wholesale of branded sportswear in China. Currently, China Dongxiang owns all rights to the internationally renowned Kappa brand in Mainland China, Macau and Japan. (DPA)
