Cupcakes & Cashmere goes e-commerce with new launch

Blogger Emily Schuman is taking her online platform to the next level. Venturing into e-commerce, the digital influencer is partnering with Digital Brand Products to make the blog into a online business.

Since starting her blog Cupcakes & Cashmere in 2008, the online site has grown to have approximately 1 million visitors per month. Running as a fashion, personal style, and DIY blog, Schuman has grown a business through her own lifestyle branding. This upcoming Thursday on April 27, Cupcakes & Cashmere will officially launch its own e-commerce business. The site will launch with approximately over 200 SKUs in categories of fashion, home, and gifts, according to Business of Fashion. Including some of her licensed collections in the past, the site will offer a curation of various brands.

Currently, the site will carry brands such as Dress the Population, Mother, Meri Meri, Twenty, and Milo House, as reported by Business of Fashion. Digital Brand Products has brought on a logistics team to handle e-commerce operations. However, the blog will also remain in operation while the e-commerce venture launches. Schuman herself will continue to work on the personal blog, while she will also be directly involved in the site’s new retail aspect.
