Dune London up for sale as founder plans retirement
British retailer Dune London is reportedly exploring strategic options for the business as its founder and chairman, Daniel Rubin, prepares for retirement.
Rubin confirmed the move to TheIndustry.fashion, to which he said Dune had “clear avenues for future growth, particularly internationally”. “This is an exciting opportunity for the business but is exploratory at this stage and no decisions have been taken,” he noted.
Rubin added that the company would consider interest and judge each option, including a new investment, partnerships or ownership, against “what is right for the long-term development of Dune, our people and our customers”.
The media outlet said the brand has tasked FTI Consulting to explore the options, with an intention to accelerate its next phase of growth in the UK and beyond.
Dune has continued efforts to grow its international presence in recent years, now operating across 37 markets, including the US, where it is stocked in Nordstrom and Dillard’s. The company has brought in over 130 million pounds in revenue, driven by growth in the region, and has also continued to launch through European platforms.
