Hennes and Mauritz Inc (H&M) is set to roll out new benefits for its American part time employees in 2019. The changes include: six weeks of paid parental leave, a weekly schedule commitment with options ranging up to 12 minimum hours guaranteed from March through December, and a new scheduling mobile app which the company says will make the process of picking up hours and swapping shifts a lot easier.

“We are thrilled to add these new benefits for our part time employees”, said Martino Pessina, President of H&M North America, in a statement. “Making sure all of our employees have opportunities for competitive benefits is a commitment we stand by”.

The Swedish fast fashion giant operates over 4,800 stores worldwide, of which 553 are located in the United States. The total number of employees amounts to more than 170,000.
