Haggar Clothing Co. acquires new label

Men's clothing line Haggar Clothing Co. just made an announcement regarding a new purchase. The company recently purchased assets of menswear company Kizan International Inc..

Kizan International currently houses label Louis Raphael, which now belongs to Haggar Clothing Co. under this new acquisition. Terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed, according to Apparel News. However, Haggar is officially acquiring Kizan's inventory, intellectual property, and work in progress. The deal was made when founder Bill Kim was still serving as chief executive officer fro the brand. "“I could not wish for a better company to carry on my life’s work than market-leader Haggar, which will be an outstanding steward of the brand and the company," Kim told the publication. Through this transition, Ed Srsic will remain as chief operation officer and president for the Louis Raphael brand.

The company, located in Brisbane, California, has been established for over 45 years. The label is known for menswear premium trousers, casual slacks, shorts, jeans, blazers, and more. The brand focuses on quality as well as a classic, sophisticated styled for modern fashion. Through the new acquisition, it'll be interesting to see where the brand goes from here under Haggar Clothing Co.
